ixsane is a company specializing in studies and engineering consulting in urban and environmental engineering across various fields: redevelopment of urban and industrial wastelands, territorial planning, circular economy in the management of dredging sediments and polluted sites and soils, hydraulic studies, design, and modeling (wastewater, stormwater, and potable water), Project Management, and Owner's Assistance. ixsane supports its clients and partners (local authorities, developers, promoters, lessors, industrial actors, etc.) in studies, design, implementation, and project monitoring. Ixsane has two divisions: engineering and research & technological transfers. The engineering division conducts studies ranging from diagnostics to project management. The research and technological transfer division conceptualizes and carries out collaborative research projects on a real-world scale, involving industries, local authorities, and national and international research units. Our goal is to be a leader in territorial development, leveraging the technical skills of our teams, our innovative technologies, and those of our partners. Our team of 20 individuals is engaged in several national studies and research programs in the fields of circular economy, redevelopment planning, territorial planning, and urban management.

Job Description

As part of its expansion, ixsane is recruiting an Ecology Project Manager.

Under the supervision of the Head of the Territory, Renewable Energies, and Environment division, within a multidisciplinary team, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Development of regulatory documentation (Impact Studies, Water Law Files, Environmental Authorization Files, ICPE Files, Natura 2000 Impact Assessments, Exceptional Species Destruction Waiver Files, etc.).
  • Development of Project Management and/or Owner's Assistance Files for urban development projects, management plans, and restoration of ecological continuity in watercourses.
  • Conducting inventories and naturalist assessments (mainly in the field of aquatic and terrestrial flora).
  • Cartography creation.
  • Participation in biodiversity research and development actions.
  • Development of a comprehensive partnership strategy with ecology and landscape consulting firms.

Necessary Skills

Holder of a minimum BSc. degree specializing in ecology/biodiversity or agronomy with a focus on flora, you possess significant experience (minimum 2 years) in conducting environmental assessments or managing environmental projects:

  • Profound knowledge of environmental regulations.
  • Strong naturalist skills (especially in aquatic and terrestrial flora).
  • Technical expertise in environmental matters (ecosystem functioning, habitat management, regulations, knowledge of inventory methods and protocols).
  • Ideally, skills in ecological engineering and project management (design and/or project monitoring).
  • Required knowledge in ecology: natural or semi-natural habitat, fauna, flora, green and blue corridors, ecological continuity, etc.
  • Proficiency in GIS mapping tools (QGIS) or AUTOCAD.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills. Organized and meticulous, you can work independently and in teams. You possess a spirit of initiative and innovation.
